An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:

The role will provide comprehensive communications advice and support to the Gorgon Downstream Project. This position will be based on Barrow Island, the home of the Gorgon Project, and will be responsible for the delivery of internal communications to the Barrow Island based workforce.

Specific areas of responsibility will include the following:

• Execution of the Barrow Island Communications Plan
• Production of the Island Times newsletter
• Generation of content for in-room television channels and update on a regular basis
• Write articles
• Develop signage
• Develop emails and bulletins for site management
• Manage static communications (posters, notice boards etc) and information deployed in
offices, mess halls and workforce accommodation
• Assist with general messaging on site
• Work closely with HES and IIF teams to ensure safety messages are properly
• Run communications campaigns and assist in developing communications plans for other
• Organise key on-island events as appropriate
• Ensure Project branding is properly applied at site
• Run surveys for the Barrow Island workforce
• Provide communications advice, counsel and support to key clients
• Facilitate communications reviews and approvals
• Actively participate in Communications team weekly conference calls
• Work with and build relationship with Gorgon PGPA team
• Actively participate in achieving an incident and injury free work environment.

Essential requirements of this role

• Degree qualified in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
• Seven to ten years experience in a corporate communications role
• Proven ability to develop and deliver communications plans, campaigns and materials
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience and comfort working with people at all levels including senior management
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment
• A commitment to achieving an incident and injury free work environment
