The opportunity has arisen for five field officers to join their Land & Community Affairs Project Group as Community Capacity Building Field Officer based in Moro and Hides on a 28 days on 28 days off rotation.This is an oppportunity to get involved in comm

The Role:
• Manage and coordinate effective implementation of Community Development projects in the field.
• Facilitate and undertake participatory information gathering activities to inform Community Development Project implementation.
• Facilitation of surveys and/or research on market opportunities or project feasibility in the field.
• Contribute and assist with the field community development strategy in collaboration with the field officers.
• Provide input to assist in the identification and implementation of strategic rapid-implementation projects in designated areas.
• Drafting project proposals, including identifying implementation partners and budget in your area considering cultural and geographical differences.
• Implement monitoring and evaluation systems and provide feedback for improvement as necessary on projects and activities being undertaken in designated areas.
• Provide logistical support and local context to specialist inputs for pre-implementation work such as undertaking baseline studies, research on market opportunities and/or project feasibility studies.
• Oversee and provide logistical support and community entry to specialist and contractors appointed to implement projects.
• Advise the Community Support Strategy Coordinator on programs and projects related to community investment and community development support in designated areas.
• Maintain regular reporting (weekly, monthly) against key indicators including budget.
• Assist with presentations and reports required for internal and external reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge and experience in principles of International Development,developing and managing community development activities in Papua New Guinea.
• Experience in developing and implementing projects and managing project budgets.
• Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
• Awareness of occupational safety and risk management issues.
• Preference will be given to fluent speakers in English/ Tok Pisin/ one local language
