The Company:
Our client is an integrated independent solar power producer, delivering affordable, rapidly deployable and sustainable source of clean energy worldwide. A long term player, we develop, build, own, operates and maintains solar power plants, and already has an installation track record of close to 600 MW.

The Role:
To ensure that the local community benefits from this construction contract through access to labour as well as the upliftment and empowerment of the community and to ensure that disputes relating to the project are resolved in an amicable manner.


• Scheduling, facilitating and attending meetings with relevant politicians and other allies and stakeholders.
• Actively involving representatives of the different community groups for clear and open dialogue.
• Preparing lobbying briefs and materials.
• Creating opportunities to influence decision-makers.
• Occasionally acting as the spokesperson for the client
• Coordinating community involvement in various tasks to empower and uplift the community
• Generally performing tasks that further the campaign strategy including participating in regular team and community group meetings
• Assist in arranging on-site event as requested

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Formal educational background
• Degree in Human Services or related field.

2. Work experience
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a position that involves coordination and engagement with community members, groups, stakeholders, or any combination of these.

3. Competencies
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Fluent in English – Read and Write
• Fluent in Portuguese – Read and Write
• Strong familiarity with the community and community leaders
• Ability to recognize and seize media opportunities.
• Previous public relations experience and an existing network of contacts with policymakers and other elected representatives.
