The Company:
Our client an globally renowned Oil & Gas Operating company with vast experience in the energy sector are looking to recruit a Community PGPA Adviser for a long term contract position in Eastern Europe.

The Role:
Government Relations:

- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with regional and local officials related to company operations associated with specific concession area(s), as well as other business contacts important to Company’s activities and interests.
- Build support to enable the successful conduct of Company’s business activities.
- Arranges and coordinates meetings with local officials in these areas of operation.
- Provides all necessary briefing materials for such engagement, as well as retaining a history of engagement activity.
- Represents Company at meetings with local officials as needed.
- Regularly informs the country manager and PGPA Manager of key developments.
- Integrates local government relations activities with overall Company in Lithuania PGPA plans.
- Conducts all activities in compliance with all Company policies, and country specific procedures and guidelines.

Social Investments/Community Engagement:

- Serves as a primary public representative for Company for community level stakeholder engagement in operations areas and leads the development and implementation of a Social Investment Plan/Program.
- Engages and builds relations with local community leaders to identify and implement programs which meets the local communities’ needs and are aligned with Company strategies.
- Provides guidance to any site level company community liaison representatives.
- Ensures Social Investment and Community Engagement strategies are coordinated and aligned with Company Lithuania PGPA plans.
- Assures that all programs and expenditure of funds are fully compliant with Company Policies and country specific procedures and guidelines.

Internal Stakeholder Alignment:

- Works in close coordination of the Company PGPA team and Manager.
- Is an active contributor to the overall work of the PGPA function within Lithuania operations.
- Works with Health, Environment and Safety (HES) Advisors and staff of the project team (including Operations, Drilling, Procurement/SCM etc.) to ensure appropriate PGPA involvement in projects, including ESHIA and community level stakeholder engagement and delivery of management plans.
- Provides all necessary plans and reports needed to inform Company in Lithuania staff of the activities under management, as well as documenting program performance against objectives.

Communications and Media Relations:

- Initiates and develops constructive relationships with local media.
- Assists Lithuania Country Manager and PGPA Manager in interfacing with the local media in operations areas.
- Contributes in the preparation of communications material, including holding statements, news releases, media response material, emergency communications, and media briefings.
- Works with Country Manager and PGPA Manager to support, attend and organize external events in the operations area.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Communications / public relations Degree or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role desirable
