The Role:
Promote COMPANY HSE policy and verify good standards and practices at Subcontractor site, including proper reporting and efficient communication channels.
Ensure compliance of Subcontractor umbilicals manufacturing activities with Project documentation and in particular the corresponding Inspection and Test plans.
Ensure permanent follow up of site works.
Identify any technical, procurement or resources bottleneck which could lead to planning slippage
Ensure Quality Assurance & Quality Control are properly managed by Subcontractor and CONTRACTOR

Activities :
1. Ensure Site is working with safe practice. Promote and challenge HSE initiatives during construction phase to keep people mobilized and safety minded. Keep people aware of Project safety objectives
2. Ensure documentation is available in due time to avoid any fabrication hold. Verify consistency / homogeneity of information with Engineering offices, by regular review of documentation register to review in detail all engineering and construction documents
3. Ensure umbilicals manufacturing QC is performed according to ITP. Keep track of any technical deviation from Contractual requirements, including supporting documentation such as mark-up, RFC, RFD, Quality Notices, CAR.
4. Ensure supervision of umbilical manufacturing activities with assistance of welding and NDT supervisors.
5. Confirm umbilical manufacturing progress and resources estimate from Subcontractor and CONTRACTOR is acceptable.
6. Request any assistance, audit or visit from COMPANY specialist whenever required.
7. Responsible for Punch list items opening and clearance. Follow-up of clearance progress.
8. Identification and follow-up of any Non Conformance (NCRs).
9. For day to day activities, report to COMPANY Site Representative for all technical matters;
10. Ensure supervision of FAT and SIT activities.
11. Issue weekly reports highlighting main events, look ahead and area of concerns and additional reports as required.
12. Communication (functional link) with SURF package dedicated contact (SURF Manager) and SURF Umbilical Engineer.
13. Review of Contractor/Sub-Contractor final dossier.
14. Issue a close-out report at the end of the project in Lobito.

HSE: Ensure all HSE issues are properly addressed and monitored by the manufacturing team d and report to his management in accordance.
Location & scheme: An onshore rotational (4w/4w) position in Lobito (Angola) during the manufacturing phase, possibly followed by a rotational position offshore during installation phase.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HND/HNC graduate or Degree qualified – Discipline: Welding, Offshore structural and piping specialist

5 to10 years experience with Project background within Oil & Gas industry.
Experience of umbilical manufacturing and termination processes and associated factory acceptance testing is essential; including NDE of small bore super duplex tubes, hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing and cleaning, electrical and fibre optic testing in accordance with ISO 13628-5 and Total specifications.
Experience on umbilical manufacturing is required.
Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in West African yards is a plus.
