The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
An opportunity is open for a Company Representative to join the Construction Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as the authorised Client Representative: Gas Export Pipeline – Offshore Pipelay for the GEP EPCI contract scope to oversee and manage the safe and timely completion of the GEP works in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements offshore.
• Day to day co-ordination and responsibility of Company’s offshore HSE, inspection and management personnel and activities on the pipelay and associated vessels.
• Offshore management of Contractor compliance against legislation and the Contract.
• Ensure that the Contractor’s Technical Work Scope is executed in accordance with Contract specifications, Contract technical requirements and agreed Australian and Industry codes and standards.
• Liaise with Contractor daily in order to be fully acquainted with the development of the work and assist the GEP Contractor in the early identification of potential problems, development of solutions and providing guidance in preparing plans of action and assignment of responsibilities so as to avoid adverse impact to the GEP package.

Key Technical Deliverables
• Report daily progress and areas of concern (HSE, schedule, cost, quality and risk) to the GEP Lead Installation and Construction Engineer and the GEP Engineering and Construction Manager.
• Review GEP Contractor progress and reporting to ensure accurate site reporting of planned work against actual.
• Provide input to GEP Team reporting as required.

• Willing to travel as required for business both domestically and overseas.
• Highly motivated and reliable individual that can define short and long term goals and then set about achieving them with minimum intervention.
• Enthusiastic attitude capable of positively influencing the team and various contractors and suppliers within the GEP construction phase.

Safety Health and Environment
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with companies policies and procedures to maintain the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• Participate in HAZIDs / ENVIDs, risk assessments, constructability reviews, workshops etc.
• Participate in incident investigations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications & Licenses
• Tertiary engineering qualification or similar.

Critical Skills and Capabilities
• Previous experience working in a client team managing EPCI contracts and working with relevant internationally recognised design codes / standards (specifically including DNV OS F101).
• Current working knowledge and experience in areas of pipeline installation including shore pull, inline structure installation, linepipe transportation, semi-automated welding, automated ultrasonic testing and field joint coating.
• High awareness of safe working and environmental practices on offshore pipeline construction.
• High awareness of Australian legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity of Australian industrial relations practices.
• Excellent written and communication skills.

Key Experiences Requirements
• 15 years plus relevant experience in offshore construction of pipeline/trunkline systems within the Oil and Gas Industry and preferably, within Australi
