The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
The primary role of the Competence Management Assessor is to assess Technician performance and/or related knowledge in a range of tasks and to ensure that the competence and/or knowledge demonstrated meets the requirements of Competence Management standards. The Competence Management Assessor will be involved with assessment material development and mey be required to train others on the Competence Mangement process.
Develop and review job profile(s) for accuracy and completeness
Ensure correct job profile assigned to technicians
Develop and review Unit Assessment Guides(UAGs) and relevant procedures, assessment materials and equipment for accuracy
Conduct assessments using company performance standards
Document assessment results and identify training and/or development gaps
Provide assessment feedback to technician and appropriate supervisor(s)
Enter assessment narratives into iCan
Use iCan to produce Competence Status and Assessment Expiry reports
Schedule and conduct re-assessment on gaps
Understanding of regulatory training and assessment requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior standardized assessment experience
Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee data
Proven coaching and mentoring skills
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and constraints
Ability to adapt approach and style to be effective with different personalities
Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels

Additional Requirements
This is a competitve bid for a 2x2 north slope position.
Equipment Provisioning Requirements
Suppliers must provide all equipment for their workers unless company specifies that they will provide.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years experience in the Unit/Discipline being assessed (Operations, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical)
Minumum of 5 years North slope experience required
