The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
The Technician Development team's purpose is to develop and implement safe competence practices and work processes in Company's North Slope operations consistent with the organization's Competence Management program. The Competence Management Coordinator is an integral part of the Competence Management program and coordinates the technician assessment process on behalf of the Technician Development Team Leader.
Key accountabilities •
The Competence Management Coordinator role will: •
Recognize training opportunities through the technician assessment process •
Provide oversight of the Competence Management program (CM) •
Monitor assessment progress by reviewing assessment target and expiry dates to ensure target dates are met •
Perform ican databse administration duties and facilitate database training for Assessors •
Conduct CM Assessor verifications, training and annual certifications •
Facilitate document control for competence management materials •
Facilitate Assessors and Competence Management team members in performance of their roles •
Ensure that training materials are updated including review of documentation for quality and consistency •
Ensure team alignment with overall Organizational Capability strategy

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant college degree and/or professional qualification •
A minimum of five years of standardized assessment application and practice •
Strong database system and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) •
Highly organized and able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks effectively •
Excellent written and oral communication skills •
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision •
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment •
Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and constraints •
Ability to adapt approach and style to be effective with different personalities •
Working knowledge of adult learning styles and methods

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree •
Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee data •
Proven coaching and mentoring skills •
Familiar with adult learning theory and application •
Understanding of regulatory training and assessment requirements Intermediate level professional position requiring a Bachelors degree and 3-5 years exp unless otherwise noted
