The Role:
Our client is currently seeking a Competency Assurance Specialist - Production for contract period and will be a part of the project team on site.

Reporting to the Managing Consultant (Asset Solutions), your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Contribute to the development and implementation of production training materials and assessments including computer based training materials while ensuring integration of the incident and injury free program / safety culture into all programs
* Carry out one-on-one and classroom style training activities in accordance with corporate and regulatory policies and procedures, rules and regulations and compliance with all safety and environmental standards
* Develop assessment tools for prior knowledge assessment and functional competency assessment of operators
* Actively contribute to development and training of peers within areas of competence
* Assist with the development and review production work instructions, procedures and manuals
* Provide input into training metrics for training and competency records management
* Commitment to health, environment and safety and company's best practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Significant experience within the oil and gas, refining or a complex process industry
* Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of gas production, gathering, and processing and have experience in the provision of courses and training in this arena
* Tertiary qualified in engineering and/or a Certificate in Process Plant Technology
* Possess a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Customer focused with a strong desire to assist and work collaboratively across a variety of project areas and key stakeholders
* Ability to write and review technical documents and procedures
* Have the ability to work and communicate tactfully and effectively with a multifunctional team on a range of problem solving activities
* Possess or be eligible for a Marine Security Identification Card and HUET
