The Role:
• To assist project management in ensuring compliance with Company Rules.
• To assist Project management in ensuring the safety of all personnel and minimising risk in lifting operations,
• To ascertain safe lifting activities during all phases of the project.
• To provide feedback on lifting issues to project and construction team.
• To give support and advice on lifting at work, job safety assessments, PPEs, hazard identification, risk assessment, preparation of PTWs (permits to work), etc.
• To review and comment on all contractor documentations related to lifting activities and to ensure the commitment of contractor personnel to lifting practices and procedures, corporate rules, general specifications and site instructions.
• To review contractors’ HSE training matrix and certificates for ensuring competent lifting personnel
• To review and approve all certifications of personnel, lifting equipments, cranes.
• To carry out audit of lifting works.
• To perform routine inspections of lifting appliances and equipments.
• To report any unsafe equipment use and to request Contractor to scrap any damaged or uncertified equipment from site.
• To review and approve all lifting procedures, lifting arrangements and calculation notes.
• To supervise all lifting activities and ensure that they are all covered by PTW
• To determine with the Contractor the level of criticality of lifting activities.
• To assist/lead any lifting incidents investigations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Ten years experience in a position dealing with site works.
• Appropriate formal training in key activities noted above.
• Experience in auditing performance at construction yards and oil & gas facilities.
• Good English (minimum of level 3 on the Bright test).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), organisational ability and computer literacy.
• Ability to work on his own initiative while functioning as an integral part of a team.

• T-Basic Offshore Safety and Emergency Training (BOSIET) (including HUET when relevant)
• Guarantors of the Fault Tree / Advanced CTA
