The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and gas operator and has operations though out the world.

The Role:
The Completions and Intervention Category Lead's responsibility includes effective execution of procurement and supply chain activities for Completions and Intervention category products and services. Typical activities include:

• Act as a Single Point of Accountability, liaising with business stakeholders for allocating commodities & services within the Completions and Intervention Category.
• Sourcing Programme management, activity tracking & performance reporting to optimise team performance.
• Build strong and effective relationships with the wells Line organization to align agenda’s in support of safe and compliant wells.
• Input to region wells and PSCM risk registers and implementation of mitigation actions.
• Development of contracting plans and input to Global Category Management plan.
• Participate in Strategic Sourcing activities and input to Supplier selection for the regions ensuring compliance with the Contractor Safety Management Program.
• Provide regional Market Intelligence for the specific sub-sector and develop effective Contract Implementation Plans.
• Participation in Category Management Global Network to share best practices and learning's and influence the Category agenda/priorities and input into the Market Sector Strategies for global Completions and Intervention sub- sector.
• Provide periodic performance updates to the global category management team.
• Minimize business risk through ensuring rigorous contract management controls and support the local PSCM in expediting & issue resolution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• CIPS qualified or equivalent or working towards.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• Development of Category Plans and sourcing plans, both project & programme.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience within a Global / Multi-national business.
• Sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e-sourcing tools in particular Ariba.
• Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints.
• Team leader as well as working under own initiative.
