The Role:
To supervise multi-disciplined specialist Completion & Well Intervention teams in the execution of on-site Completion and Well Intervention activities to deliver maximum value to the assigned asset whilst maintaining HS&E standards.
Principal Accountabilities
In delivering Completion & Well Intervention activities, the incumbent shall:
Health, Safety & Environment
- Provide exemplary HS&E Supervision and Leadership with regard to on-site preparation and execution of all Completion and Well Intervention activities.
- Site supervision and management of contractors and sub contractors to ensure compliance with HS&E standards.
- Ensure all well work programmes are executed safely, and that all major risks have been identified and mitigated.
- Ensure that HS&E has the highest priority during the preparation and execution of Completion and Well Intervention work programmes and that safety management tools are fully utilised to minimise risk, (eg. Risk assessments, manual handling assessments, TRIC, toolbox talks, STOP, AFS, AAR’s etc)
- Compile and report HS&E statistics for sphere of responsibility.
- Ensure all incidents, accidents and near misses are appropriately reported and are subject to the required level of investigation where necessary.

Planning and Organisation
- Implement controls and processes to safeguard the technical integrity of assigned assets, in respect of Completion and Well Intervention on site execution.
- Implement rDtL tools and techniques across all Completion & Well Intervention activities.
- Ensure Completion & Well Intervention work programmes are fully fit for purpose and are fully understood by all personnel by attending (either in the office or on site) SWOP’s, pre-phase meetings, workshops etc.
- Supervision of (and/or participation in) onshore/offsite trials and equipment stack up tests as required.
- Liaise and communicate with rig and platform discipline supervisors to facilitate efficient preparation and execution of well work programmes.
- Efficiently manage and call off adequate Completion & Well Intervention resources to maximise production, minimise expenditure, and to facilitate timely cost effective execution of all Completion and Well Intervention activities.
- Ensure accurate storage of information and data relating to Well files and well data, in line with procedures

Operations
- Provide routine and emergency technical input and support for all well related activities, both onshore and offshore as required.
- Supervision of the safe and efficient execution of Completion & Well Intervention work programmes and ensure that all company policies and procedures are fully adhered to.
- Ensure adherence to change control procedures in the event of programme amendments.
- Report and liaise on a daily basis to the Client's DSV (if present).
- Ensure accurate daily reporting of all Completion & Well Intervention activities into approved reporting medium.
- Maintain Well Integrity by the execution of routine, and non-routine, safety critical maintenance.
- Ensure implementation of accurate cost monitoring of all offshore Completion & Well Intervention activities
- Integrate and liaise with other disciplines and departments to ensure efficient and effective execution of Completion & Well Intervention work programmes.
- Ensure safe and efficient backload of equipment and personnel on completion of operations.
- Ensure all lessons learned are captured and shared from execution of Completion & Well Intervention activities, in line with Delivery Process.

Key Challenges
Without compromise to corporate health, safety and environmental standards and in accordance with Statutes, Regulations and Company Policies, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for:
- Implementation of the Wells Department's: Policy, Organisation, Technical Standards, Management Controls, Control Procedures, and Working Practices in the execution of Completion and Well Intervention activities.
- Implement controls and processes to safeguard the technical integrity of assets, in respect of the planning, preparation and execution of Completion and Well Intervention activities.
- The safe execution of agreed Completion and Well Intervention programmed activities on time and within budget to deliver maximum value across assets.
- Participate in and share best practices by attending and participating in lateral learning sessions and utilising lateral learning tools.
- Communication with onshore Completion & Well Intervention support and duty teams during execution activities, ensuring prompt response to operational problems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Have an Ordinary College Certificate, (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or a similar technical or scientific discipline.
Have a minimum of 5 years Completion & Well Intervention experience, preferably in an operational capacity.
Should be in possession of a current IWCF Well Control certificate for well Intervention.
Should have obtained, or be working towards attaining the client's Round 1 and Round 2 certificates in Completion & Well Intervention.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Be responsible for own development and will execute a personal development plan agreed with the Completion & Well Intervention Principal Engineer.
Maintain the minimum safety certification needed to execute the job. (Survival, medical, Permits, well control etc).
Demonstrates strong and effective HS&E leadership.
