The Company:
Our client operates in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
With a strong focus on safety, quality and engineering rigour, you will design completions for major new oil and gas developments. You will work closely with well operations teams, drilling engineers, geologists, reservoir engineers, facilities engineers, HSE specialists, commercial teams and other company personnel to identify the best options for the project. You will work with a variety of reservoirs, ranging from highly productive sand control completions in deepwater to tight gas reservoirs requiring multiple fracs. As well as the completion design, you will prepare time and cost estimates to support project approvals and be heavily involved in the development of the production profile. Once the development is underway, you will monitor operations to identify ways to improve future project planning.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
•With a strong commitment to HSSE, you will take responsibility for planning of completion well designs for an oil, gas or water injection wells.
• Prepare Basis of Design documentation, including equipment specification and selection, flow modelling, stress analysis.
• Prepare cost estimates and cost control for completion activities.
• Awareness of and involvement in new completions technologies, with appropriate incorporation into designs and work programmes.
• Liaise with sub-surface and production team to ensure completion design is fit for purpose.
• Implement best practices as identified in engineering & operational studies.
• Recommend and conduct engineering studies to improve completion performance.
• Ensure appropriate assurance and review of the completion design and work plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•A strong track record as a Completion Engineer including expertise in at least one of the following areas of completion design: fracture stimulation, open hole or cased hole sand control, completion equipment.
• Broad experience with the design and execution of completions for oil, gas or water injection wells for an operator or major service provider.
• Experience working with third party service providers.
• Experience with selection of completion equipment including materials requirements.
• Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• IWCF Well Control certificate or equivalent.
• Ability to innovate and be open to new ideas.
• Competence with Landmark well engineering software packages (DIMS, Wellcat, Prosper).
• Participation in continuous improvement processes.
