The Company:
Our Client is a GLobal Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:

The Completions Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and installation on the project's development completions. The position will form an integral part of the Operations group based in our client's Aberdeen office and will require working closely with our Completion and Production Engineer in London.

Main Roles & Responsibilities (Completion Engineering)

• Request and review relevant input data into the conceptual design phase incl analogous field data (eg Rushmore)
• Work closely with the Completion & Production Engineer to ensure the objectives of the project
• Liaise with well engineering, subsurface and production groups to define upper completion and sandface objectives
• Provided input into the completion and sandface design concepts including preliminary schedule and cost to meet given design objectives.
• Conduct risk assessment (HAZOP) for each concept including installation, operation, suspension, isolation and abandonment requirements
• Chair completion design workshop
• Identify and define third party study and design requirements (eg Rock strength studies, tubing design (WellCat) etc)
• Attend and contribute to the well / completion design peer review
• Specify equipment and tubular requirements including all long leads
• Write completion basis of design (part of well basis of design documentation)
• Write completion program as well as any onshore testing programs.
• Provided input into Christmas tree SIT tests as well as supervise key sequences during the SIT that pertain specifically to the completion operation.
• Define completion costings to sanction level estimate
• Define completion equipment tendering requirements including compilation of Functional Specifications and Statement of Requirements in liaison with QA Engineer
• Conduct technical review of tenders and contribute to award process
• Liaise closely with drilling operational team in the development of the execution plan including makeup and testing of sub assemblies etc
• Attend and contribute to pre-operational workshops
• Attend and contribute to lessons learned sessions and performance improvement process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate is to have extensive sub-sea completion and testing experience both offshore during the installation as well as onshore in a supervisory role. The position may require some offshore travel and also travel to our client's London office.
