The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
As Component Engineer for User Interface Panels (UIP), the candidate would be responsible for the HW development, in-vehicle packaging and delivery of UIPs for current and future phases of the NGI infotainment platform, across all our client's vehicle lines. Responsibility will be primarily focused on the physical and electrical integration of the components onto future car lines, whilst being responsible for quality issues with the components.

The role will involve working alongside the existing team leader Team Leader to manage the Tier 1 supplier. The successful candidate will lead the management of HW related processes such as GRADE (HW design checklist) and DTs (harness connection information), as well as managing integration into the vehicle via packaging and other supporting functions and managing all issues through AIMS. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that specifications are translated into test requirements and that the supplier adheres to these, as well as authoring updated or new specifications. The candidate will be responsible for leading weekly reviews with the supplier and escalating any issues to the Team Leader or the Reporting To Manager if they cannot be resolved at their level.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate should have knowledge and experience in the following: -
* Project delivery
* Supplier management
* Problem solving"
* Development of HW components
* EMC
* Ability to interpret CAD
* Proficient in MS Office and Google applications

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate should have knowledge of WERS, GRADE, AIMS, DTs, RMDV systems (greatly preferred) and should be educated to a Degree level (preferred)
