The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
PTSE Air Induction Component Engineer Role Definition: -
* Arrange idea generation events for AIS to identify possible cost down actions.
* Represent AIS at Cost down events (Total Value Management - TVM)
* Manage validation of suggestions and implement agreed actions.
* Review warranty data and identify trends that could possibly lead to issues. Introduce corrective action where necessary
* Manage introduction of changes identified from Bi-Weekly Quality review
* Feedback the learning from TVM into the current departmental design rules.
* Support Campaign Prevention for Air Induction Systems including fresh eyes events, recording results and discuss resolution within the Engineering team
* Support design reviews and ensure quality learning is deployed.
* Providing vehicle and air induction component test support; as required
* Conduct and document Benchmarking Activities of competitor Air Induction products and feedback at Team review

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Good Engineering Degree
* High level of computer literacy specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Project .
* Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands, with good presentation skills.
* Demonstrable experience of technical knowledge and logical approach to problem resolution
* Current UK Driving Licence
* Educated to Degree or equivalent level in a related discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of Automotive Engineering and delivery processes
* Familiarity with Automotive Air Induction systems and Plastic Component; Manufacturing Experience would be an advantage
* Experience of Engineering Systems, especially PCDS, AIMS
* Knowledge and experience of automotive vehicle systems & engineering quality tools such as DFMEA's and Failure Mode Avoidance preferred.
