The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing wheel, tyres and assemblies from concept to production: To support component Module Technical Teams to ensure that project build and gateway requirements are achieved on time. Manage component releasing for production. Support the creation of technical specifications, development plans etc. Creating and evaluating engineering sign-off plans, development plans, design specifications and drawings as appropriate. Liaising with suppliers and cross functional teams (Design, Purchase, Manufacturing and Quality) to define targets and ensure that components perform to requirements. Apply quality methods and tools to component delivery e.g. FMEA, APQP

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Ability to develop engineering solutions which meet defined targets.
* Ability to evaluate the performance and merits of designs from suppliers or service partners to ensure that JLR requirements are satisfied. Self motivated, able to achieve results with minimal supervision.
* Good team working, organisation and communication skills, able to foster good working relationships with Purchasing/ STA and suppliers.
* Full driving licence. Good PC skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications
* Development and delivery process used within the automotive industry Knowledge and or an understanding of low pressure die casting Training for internal systems will be provided
* Degree Preferred

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
6-sigma Green Belt / Black Belt training.
