The Role:
Component Engineer - Base Engine Structures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Component Engineer you will be principally responsible for the design, development, sign-off and release of Large and Medium engine components into production.
Candidates R&R's: - Knowledge of efficient component design
- Knowledge of structural engine components
- Knowledge of casting processes and materials as well as process control techniques.
- Knowledge of machining techniques and technologies as well as tolerance design.
- Ability to develop and maintain rigorous work plans that co-ordinate the efforts of suppliers and in-house Manufacturing Engineering activities to ensure program delivery commitments are met.

Demonstrate experience of engineering in a similar discipline & an understanding of internal combustion engines.
Engineering Degree, Preferably Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
High degree of self-motivation, initiative, flexibility & good communication skills. - Ability to motivate suppliers and co-workers in different functional areas to contribute to the success of the component delivery. - Good proficiency in MS Office.
Knowledge of Ford tools such as CLNs, DVPSOR, GPDS, PTRP/Integrator, WERS, Change Control Process etc.
Full UK Driving license
