The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
As a component engineer for amplifers, candidate would be responsible for the development and delivery ofnew amplifiers and the reapplication of existing amplifiers. Responsibility will be primarily HW and project delivery focused, with some responsibility for overseeing supplier SW delivery. The role will involve working alongside Amplifer Team Leader and other component and SW engineers to manage the Tier 1 supplier through the design and development process. The sucessful candidate will lead the management of HW related processes such as GRADE (HW design checklist) and DTs (harness connection information), as well as managing integration into the vehicle via packacking and other supporting functions and managing all issues through AIMS. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that specifications are translated into test requirements and that the supplier adheres to these, as well as authoring updated or new specifications. The candidate will be responsible for running a weekly reviews with the supplier and escalating any issues to the Amplifier Team Leader or the Reporting To Manager if they cannot be resolved at their level.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Electronic HW development experience and training, including EMC Infotainment/Amplifier knowledge Self Starter and ability to work unsupervised Good Communicator Ability to work and prioritise under pressure Ability to work with those outside of immediate team to achieve goals Experience of electronic development in automotive environment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of JLR systems greatly preferred - WERS, GRADE, AIMS, DTs, RMDV
