The Company:
A newly established and rapidly growing engineering service company situated in Europe, created by former engineers of a very well established OEM who are developing the company to compete internationally, mainly focusing on the automotive industry.

Currently, this client are working with some of the best car manufacturers in the world, specialising in complex assignments and offer excellence in development and integration of systems and attributes for complete vehicles.

The Role:
Our client works with exciting and challenging assignments within Research & Development with a number of car manufacturers around the world.

A Powertrain Systems Component / Integration Engineer is now required to work on an exciting and challenging Powertrain Systems project for a world leading Automotive OEM, which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced.

This is a key role in Powertrain with responsibility for the Component Engineering element of system design. Powertrain is responsible for the system design, development and sign off and production for all of our client products. The department is responsible for taking concept design from the Advanced Product Creation (APC) team, refining and driving those designs into production and resolving any field issues. The department has a wide variety of work, currently having major projects on most of our client model lines. A vacancy exists for a delivery component engineer within this team.

Experience Required:

Have worked in an component design or development role and used those associated tools.
Minimum 2 years in Automotive Engineering environment.
Flexible, motivated with strong negotiation and meeting skills.
Must be able to foster good working relationships internally and drive suppliers to achieve goals.
Proven ability to manage own workload, CAD and facilities to meet clear and defined targets.
Must be able to communicate and able to present information in a concise and factual manner.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages.

Most importantly, the successful candidate must have demonstrable working knowledge of JLR/Ford systems, WERS, eFDVS, AIMS, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work with the supplier base and drive in the principles and operating practices associated with our client's Product Creation System (PCS).
Experience with managing suppliers, working independently and to tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Automotive Engineering Degree.
