The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
•As PMC COMT Manager, you will be representing us and our client, supporting and managing EPC Contractors in the provision of commissioning, operations, maintenance and training, which are associated with a large refinery upgrade project
•Manage the day to day activities of the Project COMT team, comprising commissioning coordinators, commissioning engineers, operations and maintenance specialists
•Co-ordinate with Client, Contractors, Suppliers and Licensors to ensure a smooth and safe start up
•Direct or advise Client's staff with regard to correct pre-commissioning, Commissioning and start up procedures
•Investigate technical problems with assistance from specialist engineers and suppliers
•Prepare and assist with Client hand-over and with completion of contract custody transfer documents as appropriate
•Prepare a final report to include summary of problems, solutions, and recommendations for future improvements
•Prepare a Site Closeout Report
•Be aware of, and follow, company and client procedures regarding fire drills and health and safety inspections
•Report accidents and infectious diseases as required by company procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experience and willingness to work in an overseas environment is required, as are a range of relevant qualifications in a related Engineering discipline
•A successful career path in the energy sector in similar roles, with proven relevant experience gained through project execution within a major multi-national contractor, operator or global consultancy
•A substantial track record in overseas environments, especially the Middle East, is preferable
•Proven strong character and self-motivated individual
•Proven ability to engage in effective dealings with both client / owner and detail design contractors
•Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be technically strong
