The Role:
The configuration manager for civil and layout team is responsible of all subjects related to configuration management and change management for the civil and layout team in Sofinel Bristol.

Main activities :

Configuration management:

• Single point of contact for all items related to configuration management
• Defines the configuration related to each deliverable issued by the team
• Support the building teams for the understanding and the application of the different configuration management of UK project (R0C v3, R0Cv4, RC1, etc.)
• Organise and pilots the team analysis related to configuration management definition (integration of ECN, perimeter of the configuration, etc.)

Change management

• Represents the civil and layout team at the change management committees
• Support the building teams for the follow up of the modifications
• Prepare with the building teams the configuration file describing which modification are included in each deliverable
• Coordinates the activities related to transverse modifications between different buildings

Engineering

• Support the section leader for some transverse technical activities (e.g. management of interfaces)
• Prepare preliminary feasibility analysis and ALARP studies on emerging modifications
• Anticipates and raises alerts on modifications (either not planned or not closed before issuance of a deliverable)
• Participates to layout engineering reviews (with all the engineering teams involved)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Training & Experiences: Mechanical or civil engineer – Experience of civil or layout design in nuclear projects would be a bonus

Technical skills : Good knowledge and understanding of civil and/or layout rules, experience in configuration management, experience of large industrial projects design organisation

Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel. Good knowledge of PDMS and Navisworks software (consultation).

Language(s): Fluent in English, French is a bonus.

Management Skills: Ability to meet commitments and deadlines.

Personal capacity: Very good interpersonal skills and ability to express him/herself, ability to take an overview, practical approach essential (logical), ability to take the initiative.
