The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
The Construction Advisor (CA) reports directly to the Construction Lead (CL) and is responsible for fabrication/construction activities relating to assigned EPC (Engineering, Construction & Procurement) packages. The CA offers constructability input to design and monitors engineering activities to ensure timely delivery for execution. The CA is assigned to the project commencing with Engineering and continuing through project completion.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as day to day interface with EPC Contractor on behalf of CL
- Support and provide input to early planning activities and construction execution with specific focus on brownfield modifications
- Interface with Production Company affiliate where/when required
- Communicate all shutdown related scope (planned/opportune) to business unit's shutdown team
- Participate in Construction Risk Assessments (CRA)
- Coordinate with the Business Unit logistics and services coordinators to ensure awareness and planning for all project personnel and materials movement as well as vessel and helicopter requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree, Technical Diploma or Trade Certification.
- Minimum 7 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in the co-ordination of platform construction and installation activities including turnarounds, work pack / scope development and system completion / turnover.
- Experience in supervision of construction personnel.
- Experience in project estimating and planning.
- Intimate knowledge of safety and risk management beliefs and practices.
- BST eligible candidate for intermittent travel offshore.
- Able to travel for short periods in support business requirements (International).
