The Role:
The Construction and Commissioning Team Leader (Mechanical) is responsible for the controlling and monitoring of all Contractors’ construction and commissioning activities, ensuring quality and assurance of the activities and certification process in place within the Cat C Projects portfolio. Also ensures that all planned works are carried out in full compliance with Company requirements and standards and meet the requirements of the GOC documentation. He should visit all Contractors' facilities for reviewing and monitoring of all activities on a regular basis

The successful applicant will be part of the Projects and Modifications Team (P&MT). This is an opportunity to support the development and implementation of a world-class operation.


• Deliver a variety of Mechanical and Process Projects .
• Proactive in leading HSE activities and acting as Company’s representative responsible for ensuring implementation of Company safety standards and working practices.
• Support and deputize for Construction and Commissioning Manager.
• Ensure Company processes are applied and followed for Projects as required
• Supervise the preparation of scopes of work, designs, specifications and technical requirements.
• Supervise tender preparation and evaluation of tender packages.
• Review technical clarifications.
• Supervise technical evaluation of tender returns.
• Managing interface with Terminal Operations organization including gaining access to site, obtaining permits to work and general administration issues.
• Ensure Project compliance with Company technical standards.
• Ensure Project compliance with MOC, GOC and quality standards,
• Overseeing Project execution for all aspects of Contractors’ work. Monitoring and reporting on all aspects of Contractor performance.
• Review Contractor's method statements, procedures and engineering design and establish acceptable working practices for construction activities
• Ensure all construction-related activities are performed in accordance with Company's ethical policy
• Assist with identification of risks to the quality of work and the completion programme and associated solutions for consideration by the P&MT.
• Assist Project Manager to ensure that the P&MT personnel are given suitable training and experience to develop the appropriate transferable skills
• Monitoring, auditing & assurance of Contractor's site activities in accordance with Company and Contractors’ specifications, ITP and Quality Plans
• Identify and provide all required trainings for staff
• Monitor delivery of permanent equipment & materials and ensure materials & equipment are in compliance with Company's specified requirements
• Ensure all construction & installation activities and qualification trials are witnessed and approved as necessary
• Ensure all Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities and acceptance trials are witnessed and approved as necessary
• Ensure that Company’s reputation is maintained and enhanced though all construction-related activities
• Assist with identification of risks to the quality of work and the completion programme and associated solutions for consideration by the P&MT.
• Monitor Contractor's construction schedule to ensure an on time completion of the project
• Maintain Compliance with Company’s Safety Policy and other Company procedures
• Implement performance appraisal process for subordinates.
• Ensure Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Project activities performed in time


• Proactive participation in the delivery of proper HSE behaviour in everyday activities and delivery of HSE inputs as required.
• Deliver personal HSE targets
• Maintaining confidentiality of data and adherence to Company Code of Conduct is required at all times

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degrees (Bachelors) in a relevant field or equivalent

• Relevant experience in Brownfield Projects and Modifications
• Previous experience working in the oil and gas operating facilities
• Knowledge of Projects processes
• Knowledge of HSSE processes for construction and commissioning of Projects
• Previous experience working in situations requiring self-motivation, ability to set goals and objectives, work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
