The Role:
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides assistance to the construction field services team with daily tasks and general support. Acts as a liaison to Construction Supervisor(s) reporting on field safety, project progress, or delays. Assists with resolving material procurement, logistics, expediting, and availability issues, as assigned. Communicates design, materials, constructability, productivity, implementation, etc. issues as they arise during construction. Reports work that is not performed in accordance with documented criteria, specifications, and standards, or does not meet the expectations/needs of the team or project. Typically requires 3 to 7 years of experience. Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations and is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the field. Serves as a resource for best practices/quality on functional teams or projects. Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. Leading HSE performance by communicating, fostering, supporting, and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and objectives. Promoting the use of HSE Leading Indicators, Proactive Measures and Predictive Indicators. Providing construction input into the implementation of “Safety Through Design” process.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position maintains the systems and processes to support all functions of movement and storage of tools and consumables items within the Capital Projects Organization at Kuparuk, reporting directly to the Construction Superintendent.

Day to day activities include, but are not limited to:
• Receiving, inspecting, storing, and organizing tools and consumable materials
• Issuing tools to personnel and perform minor repairs
• Providing total inventory control of tools and consumables and maintaining 99.9% accuracy of weekly cycle counts verified in “ToolWatch”
• Attending and participating in daily toolbox meetings
• Providing guidance to toolroom craft personnel

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Issue and receive small tools to and from Contractor personnel, daily
• Run weekly consumable usage report, cost analysis, stock levels
• Analyze and run cost report on repairing tools and equipment versus purchasing new
• Issue consumables to Contract or personnel, daily
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair small tools
• Schedule & prioritize work in supporting ongoing and upcoming project work
• Oversee tool room craft personnel – providing day to day work task assignments
• Verify Contractor tool distribution and utilization, as required (daily, weekly, and monthly)
• Maintain compliance records for Corporate, Federal, and state audits with regards to compliance, (Fall Protection, Electrical 3 PPE, Rigging, Assured Grounding, and Respiratory Standards
• Maintain all required certifications for small tools repairs
• Maintain small tools and consumables inventory and distribution
• Perform data entry into electronic database for small tools and consumables
• Receive inventory for small tools and consumables
• Assemble requisitions for procurement of small tools and consumables as required to maintain stock levels
• Facilitate discussions between Contractor and CPAI regarding equipment and tool needs and usage
• Research “new” products (tools and consumables) to improve safety and/or efficiency, as required
• Participate in Contractor toolbox and weekly safety meetings when on site
• Perform safe performance recognitions during jobsite visits
• Input pro-active measures information into the CPAI PMT Participation database
• Perform Behavior Based Safety observations
• Coach/mentor the Contractor foremen and craft to comply with HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices
• Perform jobsite walk-downs during jobsite visits
• Review Contractor Task Hazard Analysis (THA)/Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Job Hazard Analysis during jobsite visits
• Provide weekly input to the Predictive Indicator tool
• Participate in Safety standups/downs, as required
• Participate in incident investigations as required
• Participate in safety assessments
• Ensure all compliance training is complete and up to date
• Become a trained observer and support the CPAI Behavior Based Safety (BBS) processes
• Become trained and competent in Fall Protection, Electrical 3 PPE, Rigging, Assured Grounding, and Respiratory Standards
• Become trained on fork lift use

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Current NSTC card
• Valid driver’s license
• 3-5 years of Supervisory skills
• 5-7 years experience working with oil and gas industrial equipment
• 5+ years industrial construction experience
• 1-5 years’ experience with tools / materials controls processes
• 3-5 year’s minimum supervisory experience
• Computer / tech “savvy” – must be able to use computers (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Physically capable of some medium (up to 50 lbs.) lifting
• Experience with “ToolWatch” Enterprise program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
