Construction E/I Development Engineer

The Role:
◦Acts as the main Construction Focal point for the onshore E & I Engineering and Design Teams.
◦Works closely with offshore team /Onshore HSE and Construction Manager to ensure all HSE requirements are met.
◦Attends constructability reviews and inputs positively and proactively
◦Writes specific construction preparation and execution sections for workpacks as required.
◦Creates jobcards and populates into workpacks as required.
◦Feeds jobcard durations and trades splits into Planner.
◦Identifies tooling and any specialist plant and equipment required to execute construction offshore.
◦Participates in Workpack / Workscope HAZIDS, risk assessments and Safety screens as required
◦Identifies any construction support specialist 3rd parties as required and ensures call offs raised
◦Inputs into level 3 construction plan and Level 4 OUTAGE execution plan with trade splits as required.
◦Participates in Subcontractor assessment and selection process for E & I element of module fabrication
◦Works closely with Construction & OUTAGE coordinator to ensure all construction deliverables are met.
◦Liaises closely with offshore team on constructability and resolution of Technical Query Issues
◦Liaises with Engineers/Designers direct to ensure close out of TQs. Reports close out progress to Construction / OUTAGE coordinator.
◦Liaises closely with G.O.C. engineer to ensure completeness and accuracy of close out certification.
◦Where necessary (e.g.. for installation or large electrical plant/equipment), works closely with LOLER Lift Planner/Focal point to ensure all aspects of heavy lifting and rigging are LOLER compliant.
◦Monitors offshore execution and close out of workpacks and assist Const / OUTAGE coordinator where required
◦Attends meetings as and when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Current Offshore survival and Medical required.
◦Oil and Gas Industry experience
◦Previous experience with compilation of E & I Workpacks essential
◦Sound knowledge of offshore construction NORMS pertaining to E & I installations essential
◦Ability to interpret P & IDs, E & I Block, SLD and termination diagrams, E & I cable schedules and instrument hook up assembly drawings essential.
◦Sound knowledge of IEE Regulations 16th or 17th Edition.
◦Understanding and working knowledge of ATEX Directives and COMPEX certification / installation compliance.
◦Preference given to candidate with previous E & I installation and Supervisory experience.
◦Sound knowledge and experience of Construction planning, execution and logistics.
