The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
My major EPCM client requires the services of a Construction Engineer - Electrical to perform a rotational FIFO role to BArrow Island on a 20/10 day rotation.

This role is required to ensure that facilities are built and installed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and that applicable project safety and environmental instructions are being followed
• Provide oversight of contractors materials management and verification systems
• Verify post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment
• Interface with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel to address quality issues/progress and assist quality audits
• Act as the point of contact for site E & I Superintendent on potential barriers and emerging issues
• Assist in the defining and acceptance of performance test acceptance criteria
• Act as the day-to-day interface with EPC contractor during the construction phase, providing a focus on safety, quality, schedule and cost
• Provide pre-commissioning I mechanical completion oversight and verification
• Supervise the mechanical completion phase and transition to commissioning phase
• Commitment to health, environment and safety and Client best practices
• Liaise with contractors to resolve TO's, RFI's and issuing of SI's
• Monitoring of completions systems (Zenator) to ensure timely handover of all required systems and sub-systems
• Approval of contractor's RIM's and as-builts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Significant experience in electrical engineering in a construction environment and in particular experience in high voltage electric power transmission
•Downstream oil and gas project experience is preferred
•Relevant tertiary qualification is essential
•Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
•Self motivated, with the ability to work autonomously
•Confident and clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals across all levels
•A demonstrated commitment to the values of integrity , partnership and trust in achieving an incident and injury free environment
•Familiarisation with Australian standards for electrical engineering including EEHA for oil and gas installation
•Familiarisation with IEC's for electrical engineering including hazardous area installation.
