The Role:
The Hook-up Engineer will report to the Drilling and Production Platform Hook-Up Lead, who in turn reports to the Hook-Up and Exports Systems Manager.

•Responsible for coordination of onshore hook-up preparation across specified hook-up interfaces and/or discipline(s). Provide assurance that all required preparation by Hook-up Contractor across the assigned work-fronts is being delivered and documented appropriately, and to agreed timelines.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following;
• As part of the Team, the post-holder will provide HSSE leadership and show commitment to fostering a culture of no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment.
• Provide an interface between the Hook-up Contractor and all the required client project entities, such as Engineering, Technical Authorities, PSCM, T&I, Construction (Ulsan), Commissioning, Start-Up and Operations to ensure all required information for offshore hook-up preparation is made available.
• Obtain a detailed knowledge of the offshore Hook-up scope of work, including reviewing and comment on Work-packs/Job-cards and associated content, for offshore constructability and work-task sequencing.
• Hold weekly work pack delivery meetings with relevant disciplines and support rectification of any issues preventing the schedule being met.
• Oversee Hook-up Contractor temporary equipment deliverables related to discipline and ensure clients management of change process is followed. This includes power, diesel, rig skidding, crane, lighting and welfare facilities.
• Work with the client and Hook-up Contractor’s planners to develop the detailed Hook-up Execution Plan and ensure all work activities are appropriately linked to Commissioning system priorities.
• Contribute detail to the Hook-up Execution plan, taking into account requirements for construction support, vendors, subcontractors and materials/logistics requirements etc.
• Participate in project workshops/reviews when requested, ie: HAZIDs, ILS strategy development, to ensure all required preparation for the early offshore phase is appropriately defined and subsequently planned.
• Work with the Hook-up Contractor to prepare for the offshore hook-up phase by ensuring that all required project procedures and processes are being followed.
• Provide assurance that all completions processes and certification requirements are being implemented by Hook-up Contractor in Work-packs and the GoC Completions System, in preparation for offshore execution.
• Support the identification of carry over work scopes from Korea and co-ordinate transfer to the Hook Up Contractor
• The post holder will work closely with and support the DP Hook Up Lead in monitoring and reporting on hook-up preparation progress.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives during onshore preparation, with the primary aim of reducing offshore hook-up execution man-hours.
• Ensure that lessons learnt and best practices from past/existing projects and operations are integrated into the procedures and plans being developed for offshore hook-up execution

Qualifications, Experience and Behaviours Required

• The post-holder will have a minimum of five years oil and gas project/construction engineering experience.
• HND/HNC or Degree in subject relevant to role
• A detailed knowledge of offshore construction execution would be a distinct advantage.
• Current offshore survival and medical certificates
• The ability to work proactively with minimum day-to-day supervision
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both the client and contractor project personnel
