The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Construction Engineer to work on various projects on the Akzo Nobel site in Ashington.
You should have good Client facing and man-management skills and be used to overseeing a range of construction projects in a hazardous plant environment.

You should be able to:

Define a construction programme including definition of need dates to ensure construction requirements from design are understood.
Be able to coordinate and control construction staff in the management of quality, safety and financial requirements.
You will also have the ability to chair and control multi functional meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS and ISO Standards and statutory regulations associated with construction work
Construction Quality Procedures
CDM Regulations in particular principal contractor requirements and duties
Hazards of construction and constructability
Materials of Construction
Safe working practices on hazardous plants
Contract Management procedures

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
HNC or above in relevant discipline
