The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
The Construction Engineer will be responsible for the management of main Contractor during EPC works. This will run through to the execution phase for major infrastructure activities for the procurement, construction of the non-process buildings and infrastructure within the main LNG site.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide an interface between procurement, construction and engineering during construction for both company and contractor
• Ensure best appropriate practice construction considerations and methods are delivered to the project for EPC and related activities
• Inform on construction status within the scope situations to senior onshore team members as required from time to time
• Maintain contemporary construction knowledge for buildings and external infrastructure
• Provide input to the Contractor in relation to pre-fabrication and stick built erection methods (eg installation sequences, traffic management plans, scaffolding plans, crane usage plans, manpower planning, Australian legislations etc
• Progress Civil & underground, Architectural, hydraulics, mechanicals, Fire Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation and Landscape Works
• Co-ordinate with client Operations team to meet design requirements of LNG operability, plant start-up, pre-commissioning and safe operations
• Co-ordinate with client Delivery team to deliver package to schedule, cost and required performance and quality standards
• Manage main Contractor (with Delivery team) to required policies and objectives related to progress measurement / reporting, project controls, Contracts, HSE, QA/QC, Gov App, HR/IR etc

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will hold at least a degree qualification and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:
• Sound understanding of the oil and gas business including building and infrastructure development projects
• Experience with major project fast-track design and engineering, procurement, construction of buildings and infrastructure, including multiple services, systems (resource industry experience may be considered)
• Minimum 7 years’ experience
• Demonstrable experience in the construction of large scale Greenfield projects
• Demonstrable experience in managing and influencing major contractors in multiple scopes, including progress reporting, HSE, QA/QC, Gov App, HR/IR etc to achieve project objectives
• Maintain good relationships to influence and work as one team to technical resolution, sequencing, methods on-site as necessary to ensure best for project objectives are completed to ensure LNG operability, plant start-up, pre-commis
