The Role:
• To work within and to assist the Sangachal Terminal Area (STA) Projects and Modifications Team (P&MT) to deliver a variety of Civil and Structural (including Architectural) Projects within and associated with the production facilities at Sangachal Terminal.
• Proactive in leading HSE activities and acting as Company’s representative responsible for ensuring implementation of Company safety standards and working practices.
• Support and deputize for Construction and Commissioning Team Leader (Civil)
• Undertake preliminary civil and structural design works including architectural requirements. Evaluate detailed designs prepared by others.
• Prepare specifications and scopes of work to ensure compliance with Company Standards & Undertake product research. Evaluate specifications and technical data prepared by others.
• Involve Discipline Engineering Team (DET) and Area Engineering Support Team (AEST) and take advice as necessary including working with AzSPU TA’s as required to ensure integrity.
• Ensure Company processes are applied and followed for projects as required
• Advise Contractors of our Document Control system, all design drawings and documentation must be sent for DET and/or AEST review and approval through the IM team.
• Assist in the preparation of scopes of work, designs, specifications and technical requirements.
• Assist with the tender preparation and evaluation process of tender packages.
• Facilitate site visits by potential bidders
• Provide technical clarifications.
• Participate in technical evaluation of tender returns.
• Liaise with Company Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) team regarding Contract Administration issues.
• Managing interface with Terminal Operations organization including gaining access to site, obtaining permits to work and general administration issues.
• Ensure Project compliance with Company technical standards.
• Ensure Project compliance with MOC, GOC and quality standards,
• Overseeing Project execution including day-to-day management all aspects of contractors work. Monitoring and reporting on all aspects of Contractor performance.
• Conduct kick off meeting with the Contractor prior to start of Project and discuss all Project requirements. Agree on schedule and Project start date.
• Proactive participation in the delivery of proper HSE behaviour in everyday activities and delivery of HSE inputs as required.
• Deliver personal HSE targets
• Drive Contractor to take leadership role in HSE
• Organise site inductions.
• Organise relevant training to meet Company Health & Safety and environmental standards and operational requirements.
• Monitor and report on Contractor’s safety performance.
• At beginning of Projects conduct Tool-box talk with the work force.
• Carry out regular site audits to ensure control of work COW is being adhered to and all safety controls are in place as per the WCC and relative TRA
• Provide input to management reports.
• Provide cost and measurement data to the Contract Administrator and Project Services.
• Provide input for project planning schedule and resourcing requirements to Project Planner and Project Services Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in technical discipline
• Have a minimum 5 years’ experience working in civil and structural construction related contractor organisation with on-site experience
• Civil and structural construction experience in onshore process plants
• Proficient use of Microsoft office systems e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Have excellent communication skills and good communicator with interpersonal skills and ability to interface across a range of functional groups.
• Must be fluent in Azeri and Russian with a good standard of English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other computer based design package
• Familiarity with Company ETPs and e-MOC and EQ systems
