The Company:

The Role:
Working within Construction will provide an excellent development opportunity, enabling you to enhance your understanding of the full scope of our business whilst contributing to the successful delivery of projects from business winning, through design to the completion of a physical plant.

Key Requirements:
• Provide construction input to proposals utilising construction knowledge and experience
• Provide construction input to the project throughout the engineering phase using construction knowledge and experience.
• Develop aspects of the project construction strategy, execution planning and contracting strategy.
• Develop and issue project specific site procedures and work practices as necessary to meet Client requirements.
• Manage and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with Contractor, Client, and subordinates
• Liaise with designers, engineers and Construction Engineering Manager throughout the engineering phase to maximise the use of construction knowledge and experience in all aspects of the project paying particular attention to constructability.
• Carry out construction feasibility and method studies.
• Support the Construction Manager Home Office in the development of the contracting philosophy for the project. Ensure contract deliverables, documents and specifications are produced to meet the needs of the project schedule.
• Review the project estimate to ensure the completeness of scope and correctness of construction input.
• Review the project requirements, and the constructability checklist to identify critical execution issues, and develop the overall schedule and the construction execution plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- A degree in Construction or other relevant technical discipline is highly desirable but by no means essential, as long as you can demonstrate a successful track record with several years industry experience.
- You will need to be well organised, calm under pressure and used to working to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and an analytical approach to solving problems will also be very important, not to mention the drive and ambition to develop as an individual and progress your career within the company.
