The Company:
A Large Operator

The Role:
This position will oversee the activities of contractors, field crews and third party inspectors engaged on company construction projects.
Construction projects consist of pipeline, well site facilities and compressor stations.
This position reports to the Regional Construction Manager
Supervise and coordinate the activities of company and third party inspectors, contractors, and field crews engaged on company construction projects.
Monitor safety, productivity, progress, and track project costs.
Report to project and/or company management on project status and identify potential project problems and recommended solutions, e.g., delays, revised scheduling, cost overruns, and recommend solutions.
Provide supervision of construction projects to minimize impacts on operating facilities and to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company safety/loss/environmental policies, project scope and constraints, company quality standards, and applicable industry codes. Maintain required project construction records related to these issues
Assist Project Engineers/Managers with project cost estimates and constructability issues during the design, planning and construction phases of projects.
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of RFQ’s and bid packages, and the selection of vendors/contractors.
Assist Operations personnel with facility commissioning.
Provide Operations support for facility shutdowns, overhauls, and revamps.
Manage project materials warehouse.
Maintain Project related QA/QC records and other required documentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Background in construction management or engineering preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field is a plus but not a requirement
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Seven years of oil field and/or industrial construction experience required
Oil & gas operational and management experience is a significant plus.
Thorough knowledge of construction trades/practices
A working knowledge of industry codes/standards, permitting, and safety requirements. (eg B.31.3, B.31.6, DOT)
Ability to interpret/modify/create field mark-ups of drawings
A demonstrated ability to generate fabrication drawings from project drawing packages is a plus
Formal training in related fields, e.g., weld/x-ray inspection/drafting, surveying, etc., is a significant plus
Working knowledge of MS Office software required
