The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.
The Role:
Manage a team of Construction, Project Engineering, Planning, Quality Control and HSSE professionals in delvering up to 30,000 tonnes of topsides modules
In detail design (12 months) the Construction Lead will be accountable for ensuring that the construction challenges are identified, appropriately planned and the construction requirements are included in design. During the Construction phase (30 + months) the role will transition to delivering the fabrication, outfitting and pre commissioning of up to 30,000 tonnes of utilities topsides modules.
A HSSE leader accountable for delivering Goal Zero against a background of ever changing working environment
Shared accountability for selection, motivation and professional development of the team members.
Accountable for performance of the main contractors during construction and installation and pre-commissioning phase.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Preferably Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Technical/engineering discipline.
• Proven track record in delivering large construction projects to the standads prescribed, on time, within budget, and above all causing no harm to persons, the asset or the environment.
• Minimum 20 years experience in Construction and or Commissioning Management experience with a minimimum 5 years in senior management role preferably in Korean Shipyard.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
There are a number of challenges assocaited with constuction effort that will require the successfull candidate to have a broad experience base and the ability to identify, resolve and produce installation procedures. The job will be carried out in accordance with the mandatory Project standards, but the ever changing construction progress will require an extremely high level of personal judgment and flexibility. The physical size is unusual requiring reassessment of conventional construction techniques and the density of simultaneous work on the modules during construction over a many work faces is unusual requiring robust HSE stewardship.
