The Company:
Our client is a Major operator in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
1. To review EPC contractor strategy/philosophy for the construction contracts of the CPF (Central processing Facility, Gas Plant)

2. To prequalify the construction contractors of the EPC contractor in the best commercial/technical and HSE conditions for the company.

3. To define, mobilise and manage an organization which will cover CPF construction activities; to develop and monitor an auditable management system, consistent with the project management system, which will ensure that CPF construction activities are performed efficiently and as per as project HSE policy.

4. To oversee the activities of all CPF construction site team to ensure that all technical, contractual and cost information is properly recorded, collated and available for inspection/reference as required by law, regulations and company policies.

5. To ensure that the EPC contractor prepares the constructability program, planning, scheduling, construction sequence, construction risk analysis, construction procedures or other work required to further the resolution of construction matters

6. To ensure effective and timely comments on the construction documents by his construction team

7. To prepare meetings with the contractor: daily and weekly meetings, variation order meetings, construction risk analyses meetings and ad hoc meetings; and, if so required, to participate in these meetings.

8. To manage construction interfaces with others, i.e. engineering, other sub-projects, operations.

9. To identify deficiencies and develop solutions to identified construction problems.

10. To assess the corrective measures the contractor and other contractors intend to take in case of difficulties.


11. To participate in the review of questions and queries regarding exemption or modification requests.

12. To report to management on constuction matters and any related problems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience with proper level of technical understanding of all the disciplines involved, with at least 10 years’ experience of construction management in the context of oil and gas projects.

• Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems (related to site safety, construction, quality control, schedule, etc., or of a technical nature).

• Ability to work as part of a team and to accept heavy responsibility (including safety and security).

• Willingness to contribute and adhere to safety requirements.

• Good level in English and French (speaking and writing).

• Good communication skills and ability to work in multicultural environment.
