The Role:
The Construction Manager is responsible for all aspects of the offshore construction and installation works. The wells are located in 750 and 640 meters of water, the platform is in 165m or water. The location is off the east coast of Spain.

The position Reports to the Project Manager and interfaces closely with the Topsides Engineer. Occasional business travel to domestic and international locations is possible and deployment to Platform and/or Installation vessel are expected during the construction phase. The Construction Manager will be expected to Mentor at least one other client employee who will be assigned to assist.

Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
Candidate must have an excellent knowledge of HSE rules, regulations and best industry practice for sub-sea facilities activities and be able to abide by Client HSE rules and procedures at all time.
 Responsible to assure Client HSE procedures followed, including JSA and Permitting systems.
 Ensure no activities take place which increase the risks above what is normally associated with offshore construction.
 Take a leading role in the HAZID and HAZOPS.
 Encourage an atmosphere of safety throughout the Installation Contractors and Client team.

Scope of Responsibility
The scope of responsibilities for this role are as follows:
 Review and Approval of all offshore installation and construction engineering, execution plans, and drawings.
 Coordination of the construction work, including but not limited to, approval of CTR sheets, schedules, procedures, specifications.
 Preparation of weekly and monthly status reports covering the installation contracts.
 Supervision of Construction Site Representatives as applicable
 On-vessel supervision of the Offshore Installation activities.
 Testing and pre-commissioning of the offshore systems from the platform to the trees.
 Interface coordination between the Contractors, Platform, and other Client Projects taking place.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Previous experience in the oil and gas industry with relevant Construction and Offshore Installation experience.
 Working knowledge of offshore installation and offshore facilities construction codes.
 Experience in offshore installation, hook-up, and testing of flexible pipe and structures in water depths of at least 500m.
 Familiar with the operating aspects of off-shore and on-shore operations and installations,
 Fluent in English
 at least spoken Spanish required.
 Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools, Primavera, and AutoCAD.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be degree qualified or have equivalent working experience in this role in the offshore oil and gas industry. As well as the basic qualifications, the Construction Manager should have capability in written and verbal presentation, administration and organisation.
