The Role:
To ensure that competent construction discipline resources and onshore implementation resources are efficiently and effectively deployed in order to deliver the required "Engineering" solutions in line with GPS Contract plans and processes.
oTo motivate and co-ordinate Site Managers Construction Co-ordinators and Construction Engineers assisting in the resolution of problems.
oAchieve safety standards as defined by personal performance contract.
oShall be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving personal and team performance.
oSupport and guide the Lead Close Out Engineer with regard to efficiency improvements to meet contract milestones in a safe and timely manner
oSupport and guide the Lead Pre-commissioning Engineer with regard to efficiency improvements to meet contract milestones in a safe and timely manner
oChallenge scopes with view to reducing risk and costs.
oDevelop implementation work scopes and plans in conjunction with the Delivery Team.
oHigh level site coordination channelled through Site Managers
oAttend regular interface meetings with the Plant Manager
oEnsure contents of work packs meet with scope requirements.
oAssist with any queries relating to work pack inputs
oEnsure all relevant performance targets are achieved and standards are met.
oEncourage and foster joined-up thinking between Design and Construction
oTo continuously develop the discipline service and ensure rationalisation and lateral learning from other contracts and from external services
oAttend Engineering Team Leaders weekly meeting
oAttend construction and contract progress and planning meetings
oAttend HAZID's /HAZOP's
oLiaise with delivery team leaders and estimate implementation work scopes
oMonitor and report work pack development progress. (% updates)
oMonitor design deliverable dates required for work pack input

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ONC / HNC or equivalent
oPrevious experience of estimating and compiling construction work packs
oExperience of construction codes and practices
oKnowledge of Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations
oKnowledge of ISSOW
oOffshore medical & Survival certificate
oExperience in the petrochemical contracting industry with proven experience in a senior/managerial position.
