Our Client is an international energy service company with £5bn sales, employing more than 29,000 people worldwide and operating in 50 countries.
The group consists of 3 divisions being Engineering and Production Facilities, Well Support and Gas Turbine Services.
Our Client is an international leader in both marginal field developments, in life-of-field engineering and in production support.

The Role:
As the Construction Manager, you will:
o Motivate and co-ordinate the onshore support team and support infra structure
o Ensure construction supervision and trades personnel carryout a safe delivery of assigned scopes, assisting in the resolution of problems
o Manage and coordinate all construction commissioning and close out activities
o Coordinate with engineering ensuring timely recite of deliverables
o Ensure all relevant line management including client are kept informed on a daily basis with regard to construction activities and progress
o Accountability for team activities and exposures
o Work in conjunction with operations to ensure construction and TAR support services on the asset are best placed
o Achieve and maintain high safety standards as defined by personal performance contract and WGE safety standards, lead by example
o Shall be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving personal and team performance

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:
• To effectively manage a multi disciplined workforce, ensuring that competent resources are efficiently deployed and managed in a safe and efficient manner

Main Duties:
o Implementation of work scopes and plans in conjunction with contracts objectives
o Drive continuous improvement and development of onshore and offshore team
o Ensure all relevant performance targets are achieved and standards are met.
o Participate in regular asset conference calls.
o Support the daily progress meetings and TAR morning call with the supervisory team.
o Ensure contents of work packs meet with scope requirements
o Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers Construction Coordinators / engineering support as required
o Check daily reports are accurate and reflect current status
o Help identify resource requirements and competencies required.
o Liaise with key client engineers to ensure correct priorities are being maintained.
o Ensure construction inductions are carried out by supervision
o Recruiting and down manning of personnel with HR support
o Open door policy to issues raised by team members
o Allocation of work to supervisory team
o Cascading of latest regulations and standards to the supervisory team
o Assist with Business Improvement Initiatives
o Provide input and adhere to all Project Procedures
o Attendance at TAR and construction meetings pre mob / demob as and when required.
o Ownership of WGE / client asset specific training matrix

Health and Safety Responsibilities:
o Lead, direct and supervise team to ensure they meet their HSE responsibilities.
o Set clear HSE objectives and ensure expectations are understood and met
o Any hazards associated with teams service delivery are identified and effective control measures are in place
o Report all accidents and incidents, and participate in incident investigations where required
o Carry out and support any audits to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Qualifications:
o HND or equivalent.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
o Current survival, medical,drug screen and MIST.

o Relevant oil and gas industry experience
o IT skills with regard to MS Excel, Word and e-mail

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Personal Skills:
o Good Communication skills, verbal and written
o Demonstrate Leadership capabilities
