The Company:
Our Client is developing, and will operate and acquire high-performance, multi-cycle natural gas storage facilities throughout Europe. We will be providing our customers with broad access to natural gas storage services matched to their individual needs.

The Role:
A Gas Storage Company requiress a Construction Manageer for a new Underground Gas storage project in the Epe region of Germany –
Epe experience is highly desirrable – duration to be determinedd but long term role envisaged. Work will initially be based iin the Hague, Netherlands
then movee to Site in Epe, Germany. Possible to travel to the Hague for work during the week if the candiddate lives in Germany during this initial period.

Main tasks outlined below:

Minimum 20 years construction and project design experience in refinery//petrochemiccal construction industry including experience in large and/or mega-projects, including project
and/or construction management experience

. Establish effective owner’s construction organization structure, including job descriptions and definition of roles and responsibilities
. Develop staffing and training plans to address craft and skill requirements
. Responsible and accountable for meetting construction safety targets
. Manage the development of project HSSE Plan.
. Participate in design safety reviews (HAZOP & Hazid) and manage & lead construction reviews
. Ensure constructability is addressed in adequate detail during design phase
. Ensure construction risks are identified early in the project and accounted for in risk registers and cost estimates
. Review of capital cost estimates and direct the inputs for direct and indirect field costs
. Develop & review of heavyy lifting / hauling plans . Provide expert input in development of contracting and construction strategies of the project
. Coordinate construction activities and interfaces between the client, contractors, subcontractors & vendors especially during commissioning when vendor reps are required
. Ensure quality control and quality assurance meassures are implemented during construction
. Ensure all legal, Regulatory, HSE & Environmentaal requirements in respect to construction are met.
. Implement the Construction Safety Program.
. Create an environment of positive labor harmony during construction
. Assist in Development of Safety Manaagement Sysstem (SMS) & Safety Report
. Develop Commissioning Plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
. Knowledge of local & German sub-contractors
. Knowledge of qualified Mechanical, Welding & I&E Inspectors
. Knowledge & Ability to hire key staff to assist in Construction Execution
. Commissioning Experience
. Operations Experience

Education / Qualifications

. B.Eng Degree, BA engineering, Construction, or equivalent qualifications
. Fully proficient with PC including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
