The Role:

• Responsible for 4 million construction man-hours (1300 people at peak)
• Leading the construction Supervision Team of 30 people at peak


• Manage Costs and Construction Schedule.
• Develop and implement a construction organization using Company as well as contracted personnel to ensure smooth project development and technical coordination to overview and be accountable for the preparation issues and implementation using Construction Contractors Engineering documents such as , detailed procedures, method statements, drawings, calculation notes, Construction Equipment, construction feasibilities, list of personnel and contractors, planning, back-up procedures if/when required. Keep Project Management informed regarding ongoing construction status, coordinating and organizing daily/weekly/monthly meetings on Site.
• Manage the works performed by the Contractors, overview progress, and act accordingly to ensure the smooth running of the project
• Manage Company construction Supervision Team to ensure that the work is performed in compliance with contract specifications and inform the Project Management of non compliance, or deviation requested by Contractors.
• Manage all site contractual matters and issues (letters, minutes, etc) regarding Construction Contracts.
• Transfer all facilities “ready for commissioning” to the Commissioning Manager.
• Keep informed on local events in order to anticipate possible impacts on construction activities.
• Responsible for risk evaluation including technological risks analysis, risk management, preparedness and and leadership of teams with respect to HSE in compliance with Company rules.
• Evaluate and manage the interferences between the sites that may arise as a result of operations conducted or malfunctions observed.
• Responsible for the management of emergency situations occurring on construction site, and consequently for: application of the entity’s emergency response plan and related procedures, management of the command post set up on site.
• Contribute to HSE performance, support and implement improvement accordingly to the Company and the Project HSE management system.
• To meet the HSE assigned objectives during the execution of construction activities.
• To ensure that Company HSE Policy and contractual HSE requirements are enforced within the framework of all site construction activities.
• To ensure the protection and preservation of the environment as well as being accountable for monitoring the Project environmental performances.
• Promote all actions in order to reach suitable environmental performances during site activities executions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered engineer in one of the main construction disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, etc.) will be an advantage
• Preferable RSES (Site HSE Responsible): achieved qualification Must be flexible with an adaptable approach
• Highly problem solving abilities, (site Safety, technical, construction, quality control, schedule…).
• Able to work as a part of team and able to manage high responsibilities (including safety and security).
• Methodical with good organization skills.
• Safety oriented person willing to contribute and promote HSE policies to meet satisfactory level requirements of the operation.
• Experienced in technical issues with the understanding of all the disciplines involved,
• At least 15 years of technical experience in large projects.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of French (speaking and reading) will be a bounus
