The Company:
A major operator is seeking a 12+ months contract LNG Construction Manager based in Houston, Texas.

The Project
The Construction Manager for the Lake Charles LNG project will have the responsibility of ensuring that the construction and execution of the project is carried out in a safe manner and the plant is delivered on schedule. Construction Manager will be responsible for Owner's oversight of EPC Contractor and their subcontractors at site.

The Role:
Key Accountabilities
Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountability for HSSE, all managers are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team adopts exemplary HSSE behaviors.

The Construction Manager shall be responsible for the following:
• Overseeing the Contractor’s construction planning to ensure the plant construction is carried out in a safe manner.
• Will act as the Owners representative on all construction related activities.
• Will be a champion of safety.
• Reviewing and approving construction execution planning submitted by the Contractor.
• Participating in construction reviews, constructability reviews and 3D model reviews.
• Review craft manpower requirements
• Review temporary facility and logistics requirements
• Assessing modularization versus “stick built” construction methodology
• Will be in-charge of ensuring that the contractors and sub-contractors maintain and clean, safe work environment at site and that all construction work is carried out in a safe manner.
• Will have direct responsibility for all on-site project operations.
• Maintaining direct communication with the Deputy Project Director.
• Monitoring project labor relations, addressing any labor related problems.
• Maintaining contractor contact and relations.
• Oversight of on-site functions of scheduling, accounting, material control and safety.
• Administering field safety program.
• Direct supervision of all Owner field staff personnel.
• Be alert to scope changes and be sure that they are approved, recorded, documented, and reported.
• Drive HSSE through all construction activity and ensure that all construction activity is in line with HSSE standards and that a robust culture of HSSE is driven through construction teams and service providers.
• Undertake occasional site construction assignments as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education and Experience Required:
• B.S. in Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in an oil & gas oriented, E/C Company or in an operating company with construction manager duties.
• Experience in construction of oil & gas projects with TIC > $ 1 billion.
• If worked on LNG projects, it is a plus.
• Experience with Modules and Modularization of Facilities.
• Experience with Jetty construction and Marine construction a plus.
