The Role:
FABRICATION / CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / SUPERINTENDENT

Location : ChachengSao, Thailand. Approx 2 hours outside of Bangkok.
Position : Fabrication / Construction Manager /Superintendent
Scope: To with the Project Director / Manager on the management works of steel fabrication and construction for the iron ores mining industries

SUMMARY:
To act as Site Superintendent on site, supervising the project’s fabrication and construction activities.
JOB DIMENSIONS:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Take the prime responsibility for all HSE, quality and fabrication management and community relations to such an
extent of delivering a successful project on time and within the agreed cost.
2. To ensure the completion of fabrication, testing and pre-commissioning activities according to the design, in a safe
manner, within schedule and in accordance with the applicable company procedures and technical specifications.
3. To oversee the work on site and to assist in managing the interfaces between discipline activities and with other
project team members
4. Activities further includes the need to input and supervise, coordinating activities of workers engaged in fabrication /
installation, supporting trades and enablers
5. To study construction methods and to highlight bottle necks and potential risks is also included in the tasks.
Analyzing plans and projects to determine needs for supplies and sequence of operations required.
6. Verifying if work issued is sufficient to meet/beat schedule and to maintain proper labor and supervision workload.
It is necessary as well to resolve day to day issues and to implement workaround plans in liaison with the
management.
7. Verifying that progress made is being reported correctly and to analyze progress in collaboration with supervisors
and work pack engineer.
8. Supporting lower supervision levels in resolution of key issues
9. Monitoring performance, making suggestions and implementing corrective actions
10. To drive technical improvements, e.g. in tooling, sequencing and working methods
11. To review Project Specifications and Quality Requirements with Management and document differences to the yard
standard practices, and then roll out to supporting supervision ensuring they are understood correctly.
12. Coaching crew to meet required levels of quality, contributing to on the job training and support the team. Identify
training needs and facilitate delivery of training.
13. Planning and defining Safety Tool Box Talk topics and Issue to Supervisors for distribution. Maintain records of
STBT completed and to share with safety if relevant.
14. Maintaining necessary records of production, labour, employee performance and equipment; Arrange reports as
requested by management.
15. Provide competency and capabilities assessment of supervisors and foremen.
16. Arrange daily feedback to team on performance. Monitor Fabrication and Construction performance and direct
supervision.
17. Promote a safe, organized and pleasant work environment within his area of responsibility.
18. Establish and promote an environment of mutual respect and teamwork with all employees.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 15 - years’ experience in structural steel fabrication
Has managed fabrication of at least 12,000 tonnes
Good command of API, AISC, AWS, NACE and other codes standards.
Well aware of HSE requirement
