The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
This role functions within a 6-month to 2-year time horizon while supporting the Project Management Team in the development of the early Construction Plan and the implementation of constructability reviews.

HSE and Training
•Provide construction input to the implementation of the “Safety Through Design” process during the FEL1-3 phases of project development.

Construction Planning
•Develop the Constructability section of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for each phase and each area of activity required to deliver the project in the execution phase.
•Ensure that the Construction Plan is fully integrated with all other portions of the Project Plan, and with the Construction Plans for other projects that could be impacted by or could impact this project.
•Develop the deliverables identified in the Construction Planning Process document.
•Request and utilize external resources (i.e. Subject Matter Experts) where beneficial to the construction planning process.
•Implement the Constructability Process.
•Effect a smooth transition of the Construction Plan to the Fabrication Supervisor/NS Construction Supervisor accountable for the execution of the work.

Project Schedule and Budget
•Develop, and review project construction schedules.
•Review construction cost estimates.
•Seek out and advocate innovative approaches to minimize total installed cost (including the extensive use of off-site fabrication).

Construction Planning
•Provide input to the project WBS and Engineering/Procurement Contractor ’s engineers and designers to promote a “construction-based” culture intended to facilitate the construction process.
•Provide input to other Group’s plans during the overall project planning process.

Construction Completion, Pre-Commissioning, & Startup Support
•Participate in the development of completion plans.

•Provide material selection input to facilitate the construction process.

Risk Management
•Participate in risk assessment and the development of mitigation/avoidance plans.

HSE and Training
•Support the Company Behavior Based Safety (BBS) processes by training as a BBS Observer (WINGS, BEAR, and/or HAWKS).

Closeout/Lessons Learned
•Document lessons learned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Applicants must be Anchorage based.
•Applicants must have 10-15 years industrial field construction supervision experience
•Applicants must have 3-5 years construction planning experience
•Applicants must have 3-5 years North Slope construction experience
•Applicants must have computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Primavera Project Experience (preferred, but not required)
