The Role:
Position Overview and Responsibilities:

A vacancy now exists, as explained below, within in the Company Brownfield project team.
The Construction Planner is responsible for
The Construction Planning Engineer’s objective is to support, review and agree the development of Contractor Detailed Construction Schedules and to provide the planning focal point for all issues relating to construction planning and offshore execution and as directed by the UK Brownfield lead planner and UK Brownfield construction manager.

Duties include

To work in accordance with the company’s project management system
Provide Support and Input to overall UK Level 3 Project Master Schedule
Provide Planning interface with contractor and UK Construction Management Team
Provide Planning interfaces with UK operations team
Review Contractors detailed schedules for compliance with planning procedures and compatibility with overall UK Project Schedule
Review and agree Contractors offshore Level 1 to Level 4 Schedule.
Issue planning metrics associated with Contractors plans and progress reporting
Interface of planning issues across the project
Interface of planning issues across UK asset planning
Provide input into the internal UK 28 / 90 day and MTAP (medium term asset plan) process
Develop & Present Planning and Progress Presentations to lead Brownfield planner and construction Management
Provide verification of progress & performance against plan, areas of potential overrun requiring corrective action and completion date
Review and report planning interfaces between Fabrication and other groups work scopes
Produce input into internal UK weekly and monthly progress reporting
Critically analyse deviations and proposed variations to evaluate the impact on the time frame and resource requirements of the project plan
Ensure flotel campaign integration and visibility between operations, projects, TAR scopes etc.
Candidate Profile:

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Have a track record of involvement in projects at a similar phase of maturity, size and complexity.
Suitably experienced and qualified in a relevant discipline
The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with construction practices of major oil companies.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and work with other team members to meet project milestones
Able to work in the surroundings of a major construction site and associated health, safety and environmental practice
Good communicator with good interpersonal and team skills
Good time and task management.
Professional attitude, highly motivated, self reliant and confident.
Willingness to share knowledge
Needs to adapt to flexible practices to ensure inspection activities are sufficiently covered

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications:
Operator experience
Good communication skills
Have experience on Major Brownfield Construction.
Skilled in the practice of Brownfield Construction Planning Engineering, with proven experience and practical skills in North Sea Oil & Gas Industry.
Detailed working knowledge and proven abilities in Project Planning software packages, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office packages.
Knowledge and experience of various contracting strategies and commercial structures is required.
The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with construction practices.
