The Company:
Our client has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas in the Netherlands and the North Sea Continental Shelf since 1964. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, gas is produced from 22 platforms and 3 subsea production installations. Most of the platforms are unmanned and remotely operated; four have gas treatment facilities.

The Role:

- Brownfield topsides modifications K5-CC production complex operated by Total
- Overall coordination of multi-disciplines for the project, including liaison with Operations, Maintenance departments and Contractor on- and offshore
- To liaise with project team to improve effectiveness


- To establish a clear policy and general rules to be applied to each discipline, in order to have a coherent and homogeneous Construction Team.
- To give clear instructions and responsibilities to all members of Team in order that they feel at ease and motivated.
- To be convinced as all members of the Team that, in addition to quality and good engineering practice, planning and cost must be a permanent concern.
- To maintain good relationships with Contractors, TEPNL Operations and TEPNL maintenance plus service contractors as scaffolding.Being flexible enough but also strict
when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
- To provide assistance, to advice, and to propose to engineering innovative-, technical- and economic solutions,
- To contribute to establishment of budgets,
- To verify the scope of work for construction and to establish a clear work definition and work program,
- To prepare and to apply procedures to monitor- and to control the construction activities,
- To represent Company in dealing with suppliers and external construction companies,
- To optimize construction activities in liaison with TEPNL Operations and Operations support,
- To anticipate potential problems and downgraded situations,
- To monitor and control Contractors achievements in accordance with contractual requirements in areas such as safety, technical requirements, cost, planning, etc to
ensure the work is carried out as per contract and COMPANY quality standards,
- To ensure that Health, Safety and Environment rules are observed and to ensure that safe working practices are carried out by contractor to avoid man hours/days lost due
to accidents for the duration of the project,
- To report on regular basis to direct hierarchy about progress made including technical, contractual and cost matters to highlight early any potential delay and/or cost
- To identify deficiencies and to develop solutions to identified construction problems to avoid risk, delays and increase of costs.
- To manage construction interfaces with others: Engineering, other Projects, Operations, Maintenance contractor to look for consistencies in activities to be performed and
avoiding gaps or overlaps in interfaces,
- To contribute to the plan attainment in his section.
- To initiate, to chair and to prepare job safety analyses, to identify hazards at an early phase and to develop remedial actions for a safe execution of the work.


- Position located on Seafox 2 and K5CC, rotational schedule (2x2). If required The Hague office, The Netherlands
- Subsea tie-back project with subsea production system and extensive brown field modifications platform operated by Total, Dutch sector of North Sea
- Contact with all Contractors and Operations
- Social cohesion improver


- Respect of local rules and regulations; Company referential, HSE and Quality objectives
- To reach construction milestones in time within acceptable quality and estimated budget

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualification: HTS (BSc) degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Professional experience in Oil & Gas construction : >5 YEARS
- Good knowledge to construction and HSE management system MAESTRO
- Experience in supervision of construction activities for at least 5 years.
- Organizational capabilities, capable to lead and coach a team, communicative and service minded.
- Knowledge of process systems, civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, work permits/procedures, planning tools and Distributed Control Systems.
