The Role:
Quality Management
• Establishing construction quality objectives and development and implementation of quality assurance and quality control activities during the construction phase.
• Application of the quality related requirements of the COMPANY’s Engineering and Quality Management Guidelines, Construction Defined Practice, and associated quality related guidance documents.
• Providing guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties (as required) to ensure understanding of the project’s Quality objectives.
Quality Planning
• Development of the Module Fabrication and Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) for individual work sites, ensuring activities are aligned to and meet the requirements of the Project Quality Plan.
• Definition of Quality requirements for Module Fabrication and Site Construction contracts.
• Development of surveillance plans to identify the checks/audits to be performed on specific construction processes, specifically module fabrication.
• Ensuring COMPANY construction QA/QC resources are in place to support surveillance requirements throughout the module fabrication and construction phases.
• The development of a risk-based project audit schedule covering (project team led, contractor led and combined) audits of the project management systems of COMPANY, Contractors and Suppliers.
Quality Assurance
• Providing quality expertise and input into the construction contractor/sub-contractor bid evaluation process and leading contractor capability reviews as part of supplier selection process.
• Review/Endorse the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) of Module Fabrication and Construction Contractors (and their subcontractors) to ensure the Quality requirements of the project are addressed and that inspection, testing, and commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with Company standards and practices.
• Ensure inspection procedures (report development and review, escalation and investigation of findings, etc.) are fully developed and implemented during project construction execution,
• Leading contractor conformance audits during the construction, module fabrication and installation and commissioning phases, capturing non-conformances and proposing opportunities for improvement.
• Leading internal audits of the project management system, capturing non-conformances and utilizing project tools to manage to closure.
Quality Control
• Managing the performance/effectiveness of construction inspection and verification activities through monitoring and attendance at planned witness and hold points for all disciplines including civils/architectural, mechanical, instruments and electrical.
• Verifying and ensuring that all deficiencies identified through audits are resolved in accordance with the requirements for the management, control and closeout of Non Conformances.
• Managing any third party inspectors and independent verification services engaged by the project.
• Reporting on the status and performance of surveillance activities analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Ensuring that all relevant quality documentation, testing and inspection results are properly documented, complete and handed over in accordance with the information handover specification.
Quality Improvement
• Collection, evaluation and reporting of Quality KPIs from COMPANY, Contractors and Suppliers.
• Capturing quality-related lessons for future projects via the COMPANY Shared Learning System and incorporating applicable quality-related lessons learned from other projects.
• Ensure auditing activities maintains and improves product quality by; investigating contractor non-conformances, deviations and concession requests and developing new or improve construction and fabrication methods.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years QA/QC experience or a high school diploma with a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in construction QA/QC.
• Experience in relevant aspects of fabrication & construction work (incl. module fabrication)
• Knowledge of UK Regulatory requirements will be useful
CERTIFICATION
• Membership of recognized International Quality Institute or Organization e.g. CQI, ASQ
• Formal Quality Management qualification e.g. Certified Manager of Quality (ASQ), Diploma in Quality Management (CQI) or equivalent)
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or other recognized equivalent audit certification.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas quality practices and international codes (ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, and ISO/TS 29001). In depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards (i.e. ASME, AISC, ASTM, API, AWS, NACE, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of skilled functional personnel, other project's Team Leads and contractor personnel. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written skills. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues, customers and contractors at all levels. Engage with key stakeholders through various stages of project execution, including Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction, Operations and System Completion.
• Comply and promote compliance with Company and Project specific procedures/processes.
• Capable to conceptualize Company's processes/systems and effectively implement them to meet project technical needs.
• Must be flexible, goal-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
