The Company:
A large, independent oil and gas exploration and production company.

The Role:
Working on a 28/28 rotation basis (or residential, if preferred) the incumbent will work closely with the Subsea EHS Manager and Construction Project Managers to plan the project effectively, by ensuring that the project requirements, specification, design drawings, health and safety proposals are in place and understood and agreed by Yard Fabrication Contractor. The role will require foreign travel and potentially some extended project site visits especially during project fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up.

Duties:

Supervises in co-ordination with the EHS Manager ensuring that all fabrication, integration and installation sites are operated in full compliance of CompnayEHS Policy, Procedures and standards.
Manage the site emergency plan in alignment with Subsea EHS Manager. Ensuring that these are in line with the health and safety proposal.
Maintains the Storage facilities so that CPI hardware, materials and tools are organized to meet the timescales for the project.
Supervise and manage all site based operatives, overseeing all aspects of the work, to include; ensuring all safety inductions and tool box talks are carried out; controlling quality of work; yard cleanliness & tidiness; waste reduction; upkeep of facilities; and the use of personal protection equipment worn at all times.
Maintain site security of completed works, perimeter barriers, stored materials, at all times during the project, including access and egress in case of emergency.
Work closely with Fabrication Contractor to formulate a material schedule for the CPI hardware, including specifications and produce ahead of schedule.
Maintain the schedule and track progress, keeping records on file and copying weekly records to Construction Manager.
Liaising with the Construction Manager and sub contractors, coordinating all aspects of the works.
Have a commercial understanding of the on-going site projects, advising and implementing cost savings at all times, and represent Company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by the project.
Check that all materials used, including those used by sub contractors, are compliant with technical and quality specifications.
Ensure that all works carried out are undertaken within procedure, specification and current codes and meets or exceeds Company standards.
Provide first aid facilities, ensuring there is a first aid area (kept clear), first aid stocks/facilities are kept clear
Ensure safety to public, site visitors and staff on site at all times, ensuring that preventative measures are taken, including personal protection, following safety instructions and following all aspects of the health and safety proposal for the site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Onshore fabrication of subsea hardware and QA/QC experience
AWS CWI, AUT, UT, RT, MT, and PT experience
API, ASNT, ASME, D1.1, NACE Code Interpretation
Document Control Management
Welding Procedure Qualifications
