The Role:
Assist Design Department with design issues
Collect technical information for engineers, Advise most suitable routes for installations, Guide engineers on site visits
Provide detailed knowledge of the workings of whole Distributed Control System from field device back to DCS
Review job packs to ensure constructability of the work;
Check design drawings with actual field devices, JB’s, Marshalling cabinets and etc, for correct design.
Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings ( P & I D, Loop diagram, C&E matrix…)
Monitor quality of construction work performed by Contractor and ensures adherence to project specifications, codes, and AFC drawings;
To assist in the building and wiring of control panels when required
Review accuracy of As-Built information supplied by the Contractor;
Interface with appropriate Project Engineer(s) on technical issues to ensure project objectives are met;
Participate in final job reviews with Operations;
Compile necessary project closeout information;
Liase with Ops group
Liase with Inst/DCS/Honeywell departments to agree strategy commissioning
Conduct Commissioning Strategy meetings for all groups.
Have a good knowledge of process.
Have an excellent understanding of the control systems throughout the production area.
Participate in NEAR MISS and SAFETY OBSERVATION programs;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 7-10 years work experience in construction or commissioning.
Experience in International equipment is desirable. Pre-commission / Commission Supervising numerous small to medium sized projects is typical. Experience with sour gas or processing facilities is also desirable.
Must have demonstrated leadership abilities. Must have an understanding of project scheduling.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Higher level education from a University or Technical institute is highly desired in engineering or industrial sciences.
Basic computer skills Microsoft Excel, Word, E-Mail.
High regard to SAFETY is a requirement. Willing to participate and promote SAFE OPERATIONS at all times. May be asked to Mentor/Advise peers on technical issues. Ability to work on several projects at once and interface with other disciplines.
