The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
Our Client supplies a core service for brownfield operations focused on the delivery of major projects, upgrades, debottlenecking, project portfolio management and support services to sustain our customer’s assets and improve business performance.

We are currently sourcing a Construction Superintendent (Mechanical & Piping) to join the construction project team as St Fergus, Scotland on a contract hire basis.

Our Client are executing the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management phase of an onshore project for a major Oil & Gas client based in Aberdeen. We are undertaking a new build Nitrogen Injection Plant within an existing Gas Processing Terminal. The successful candidate will work as a key member of the Construction Site Team.

The candidate will be a Construction Superintendent (Mechanical & Piping) with a proven track record in brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects to help support and grow a UK based project engineering design team that will execute FEED, Detailed Design and Construction projects as part of the overall modernisation programme.

Good communication and presentation skills are essential.

Duration: 10 months, site based role
Location: St Fergus, Peterhead - Scotland

The individual will be able to perform all stages of EPCM project delivery for the construction management scope of works.

Core Responsibilities:

The superintendents have the prime responsibility for monitoring and inspection of Contractor’s works in accordance with the Contract. Superintendents shall:
• Be responsible for Implementation of Company SHE Policy and Execution Plan relating to the Project and in particular contractor compliance.
• Expedite, review and approve Contractor’s QAP and QIP. Establish Company inspection, monitoring and hold points
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the approved QAP/QIP
• Inspect works for technical compliance with Drawings, Specifications and Scopes of Work
• Review and approve test reports and documentation
• Highlight deficiencies, initiate and close out Non-conformance reports
• Input into Construction schedules as requested by Construction Planner
• Review of Contractor Schedules
• Review and verification of Contractors’ Progress Report prior to update by the Construction planner
• Implement Project Change Management programme in relation to Contractors’ works
• Assistance to Construction Manager as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HNC (or equivalent)
• IOSH Managing Safely In Construction or equivalent
• Significant experience in Oil & Gas brownfield EPCM Projects.
• Proven track record construction/site management.
• Excellent technical communication and coordination skills.
• Leadership experience
