The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source a number of Construction Superintendents to provide direction and support to the Construction Manager.

• Work directly for a CSG project owner
• FIFO roster to the Surat Basin (21/7)
• 12 to 24 month contract

The Construction Superintendents are responsible for reporting on the status of project, sub-contractor and contractor performance. Working for the project owner you will ensure the engineering construction work is completed to the highest standards.

Typically, the incumbents will develop all facility project plans, standards, policies and procedures. You will also assist with implementing change management and supervisory processes across all construction related issues within projects

Responsibilities include:
• Supervising construction contracts for the purpose of contract compliance, regulatory and engineering standards, provisions, stipulations, quantities and quality
• Daily reporting of all projects on safety, progress, environmental, schedule, delivery of materials issues, accommodation, transport, labour and all resources affecting the works
• Providing technical and informative assistance to the Block Construction Manager regarding construction activities
• Liaise with the Project Engineers as necessary to address and resolve construction issues as they arise
• Review project program and /or drawings for the purpose of resolving issues such as constructability, field conditions and design

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in the civil, mechanical or electrical field or equivalent experience
• Experience on large scale oil and gas projects or similar industry from both an owners and contractors perspective
• Interfaced with discipline specific contractors to support delivery of technical requirements including participation in negotiations
• Understanding of the designated processes, systems and plant operations to enable the safe and successful completion of the works

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Member of relevant engineering association or equivalent
